Albertas Minkus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarūnas Abakas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simonas Samalionis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rokas Bakšys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Poszylany's goalkeeper Albertas Minkus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dinaras Burkys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Poszylany's Albertas Minkus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 38 played minutes FC Poszylany got a freekick which was hit by Simonas Samalionis. FC Poszylany's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jarūnas Abakas 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinaras Burkys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, FC Poszylany's goal looked a bit too open when Dinaras Burkys came free, but Albertas Minkus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarūnas Abakas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Albertas Minkus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FK Šiauliai's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarūnas Abakas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertas Minkus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FK Šiauliai getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Šarūnas Žvingilas hit a great ball. Rokas Bakšys was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Domas Ivanauskas. If Jarūnas Abakas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinaras Burkys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, FC Poszylany's goal looked a bit too open when Dinaras Burkys came free, but Albertas Minkus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FK Šiauliai walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
