The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vilius Lileika hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, TimeTeam's Vilius Lileika got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadas Vilčiauskas in the 9th minute of play forced FBK Tauraginai's goalkeeper Eigirdas Banaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Tadas Vilčiauskas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eigirdas Banaitis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, FBK Tauraginai's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Bitė came free, but Eigirdas Banaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, FBK Tauraginai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobilas Miškūnas to maneuver through the defense. Leonas Pocius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustas Jameikis in the 32nd minute. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Domas Drazdauskas sped through TimeTeam's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonas Pocius. If Tadas Vilčiauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonas Pocius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolandas Fabijanskas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vidas Grigalaitis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, FBK Tauraginai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vydas Melekša to maneuver through the defense. FBK Tauraginai's Eigirdas Banaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Bitė in the 62nd minute of play. Leonas Pocius came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by FBK Tauraginai's Vydas Melekša. But to his dismay, Vydas Melekša quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sigitas Ainis hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Eigirdas Banaitis was a little too slow when Vidas Grigalaitis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 79th match minute, FBK Tauraginai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domas Drazdauskas to maneuver through the defense. FBK Tauraginai's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vidas Grigalaitis 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. After some careless play in the TimeTeam defense, Domas Drazdauskas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonas Pocius. The TimeTeam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonas Pocius should have stopped the shot. Domas Drazdauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Leonas Pocius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 94 minutes on the clock, Sigitas Ainis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Titas Damkus got free with Eigirdas Banaitis in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TimeTeam's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
