FC DIDE's Albertas Kymantas got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gediminas Buzelis charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gediminas Buzelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 16 minutes into the game, Albertas Kymantas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vytautas Turskis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When FC DIDE's Albertas Kymantas in 19 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vytautas Turskis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Bernardas Miceika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaidotas Radzinevičius having to interfere. Arvydas Papšys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vytautas Turskis having to interfere. Arvydas Papšys scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vytautas Turskis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albertas Kymantas struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Vytautas Turskis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC DIDE. Albertas Kymantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vytautas Turskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC DIDE's Tautvydas Minkus pulled a muscle in his back after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 45 minutes, Emilis Paliūnas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daktarai and the FC DIDE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Daktarai's Emilis Paliūnas got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half FC DIDE were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Arvydas Papšys made the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Arvydas Papšys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC DIDE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 72 played minutes Daktarai got a freekick which was hit by Erikas Gasaitis. When Arvydas Papšys came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the FC DIDE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arvydas Papšys couldn't finish the play. Albertas Kymantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Vytautas Turskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arvydas Papšys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Daktarai's zone, Arvydas Papšys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vytautas Turskis came out of the goal and Arvydas Papšys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arvydas Papšys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vytautas Turskis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Daktarai's Emilis Paliūnas got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Emilis Paliūnas off the ground. After some careless play in the Daktarai defense, Arvydas Papšys kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vytautas Turskis. The Daktarai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vytautas Turskis should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC DIDE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
