Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Girkantas Danielius in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Šimaitis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, FC Babrungas's Girkantas Danielius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Šimaitis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Siesiku's Vitoldas Gauba got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jonas Šimaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramūnas Motiejūnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Liudas Kanišauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. After the first half FC Babrungas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Girkantas Danielius made the kick off in the second half. Renatas Zavadskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jonas Šimaitis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Girkantas Danielius came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC Babrungas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Girkantas Danielius couldn't finish the play. Jonas Šimaitis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Girkantas Danielius's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Girkantas Danielius tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonas Šimaitis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Renatas Zavadskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Babrungas's zone, Liudas Kanišauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virginijus Girkantas came out of the goal and Liudas Kanišauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Renatas Zavadskas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
