A collision led to FC Fyfukai getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Vykintas Grunskis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FC Fyfukai's Vydas Jablonskis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Tautvydas Dargis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darius Vaitkevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benediktas Drigotas in the 25th minute of play. Airidas Balkaitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tautvydas Dargis in the 34th minute of play forced FC Fyfukai's goalkeeper Darius Vaitkevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fyfukai's zone, Benediktas Drigotas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darius Vaitkevičius came out of the goal and Benediktas Drigotas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Cornell University were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Benediktas Drigotas made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, FC Fyfukai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vykintas Grunskis to maneuver through the defense. Benediktas Drigotas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Vaitkevičius having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Airidas Balkaitis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalius Gimbutas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Petras Bizauskas struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dalius Gimbutas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fyfukai. Cornell University's Tautvydas Dargis got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Petras Bizauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Airidas Balkaitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Benediktas Drigotas took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Darius Vaitkevičius to make any attempt to save it. Benediktas Drigotas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tautvydas Dargis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Darius Vaitkevičius made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benediktas Drigotas in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darius Vaitkevičius saved FC Fyfukai from getting behind. Darius Vaitkevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benediktas Drigotas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cornell University players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
