Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FK Zelabai's Ovidijus Bačiulis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Ovidijus Bačiulis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Antanas Žlabys to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, FK sTraTo's Einar Högman got a free kick in the 12th minute. Alvydas Pažarauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Antanas Žlabys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FK sTraTo getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Niklas Bodin hit a great ball. Marijus Janulionis charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marijus Janulionis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Marijus Janulionis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gintautas Naudužas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gvidas Girčius, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 40 played minutes FK Zelabai got a freekick which was hit by Vladas Lukauskas. In the 42nd match minute, FK Zelabai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giedrius Kaunas to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gvidas Girčius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benoît Fiori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gintautas Naudužas made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FK Zelabai's Ovidijus Bačiulis got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FK Zelabai's zone, Gvidas Girčius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gintautas Naudužas came out of the goal and Gvidas Girčius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvydas Pažarauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When FK Zelabai's Ovidijus Bačiulis, in the 60th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for FK Zelabai. Antanas Žlabys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvydas Pažarauskas in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, one of FK sTraTo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvydas Pažarauskas in the 67th minute of play forced FK sTraTo's goalkeeper Antanas Žlabys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FK sTraTo booed when FK Zelabai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidijus Bačiulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FK Zelabai's zone, Gvidas Girčius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gintautas Naudužas came out of the goal and Gvidas Girčius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benoît Fiori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gintautas Naudužas having to make a save. FK Zelabai's Gintautas Naudužas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gvidas Girčius in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benoît Fiori got free with Gintautas Naudužas in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giedrius Kaunas's late challenge caught a FK sTraTo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giedrius Kaunas helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of FK Zelabai:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FK sTraTo:s goal. If Gvidas Girčius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 101 minutes into the match, FK Zelabai's goalkeeper Gintautas Naudužas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benoît Fiori. The FK Zelabai players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
