Vaidotas Gurskis charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vaidotas Gurskis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, FK Rusva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaidotas Gurskis to maneuver through the defense. Tautrimas Mankus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modestas Pleskūnas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Ukmerge's Vydas Kožukauskas got a free kick in the 7th minute. Vaidotas Gurskis kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of FK Rusva booed when FC Ukmerge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardas Birutis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramūnas Dundulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenonas Miežys in the 15th minute of the match. Ramūnas Dundulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zenonas Miežys, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Egidijus Ozinskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramūnas Dundulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Egidijus Ozinskas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Ukmerge's Ramūnas Dundulis. Ramūnas Dundulis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eugenijus Dijokas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Vitalijus Marazas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Modestas Pleskūnas, 1-1. Zenonas Miežys hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Vitalijus Marazas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ukmerge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitalijus Marazas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes, Dalius Aidukas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Rusva and the FC Ukmerge players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of FK Rusva:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Ukmerge:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitalijus Marazas to make the kick off. Beržas Užbalis kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Zenonas Miežys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramūnas Dundulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egidijus Ozinskas in the 60th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, FK Rusva's Ramūnas Dundulis threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Egidijus Ozinskas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A throw-in in the 64th minute of the game was made by Vakaris Matulionis with Beržas Užbalis as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Ukmerge booed when FK Rusva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beržas Užbalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ukmerge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Zenonas Miežys scored to the left of an out of position Ramūnas Dundulis, making the score, 2-3. In the 87th minute of the match, Egidijus Ozinskas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramūnas Dundulis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pranas Ulys hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After having played for 98 minutes, Vitalijus Marazas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ukmerge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitalijus Marazas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FK Rusva had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
