When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gvidonas Katilius made a kick off. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vygandas Žvirblys showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Albertas Martusevičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Padubisio's goal looked a bit too open when Gvidonas Katilius came free, but Vygandas Žvirblys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Padubisio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vygandas Žvirblys should have stopped the shot. Feliksas Žigelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vygandas Žvirblys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Padubisio had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
