In the 4th minute Nasos Vezirgiannidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vygandas Žvirblys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vygandas Žvirblys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincentas Misevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Vygandas Žvirblys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Vezirgiannidis in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertas Martusevičius got free with Nedas Žadeika in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Padubisio were awarded a corner. Saulius Misiulis went to the cornerflag to take it. Vygandas Žvirblys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramūnas Spudys in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Padubisio's Stasys Vaškys got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Ramūnas Spudys made a precise shot to the right of Vygandas Žvirblys. Padubisio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 32 minutes of play, Rozalimas's Nasos Vezirgiannidis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vygandas Žvirblys was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramūnas Spudys in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vygandas Žvirblys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Bronislovas Laumakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasos Vezirgiannidis in the 43rd minute of play forced Padubisio's goalkeeper Vygandas Žvirblys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nedas Žadeika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidas Ežerskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Nasos Vezirgiannidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vygandas Žvirblys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Rozalimas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vidas Ežerskis was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Rozalimas booed when Padubisio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stasys Vaškys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rozalimas's Ramūnas Spudys managed to work through Padubisio's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ramūnas Spudys dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Nasos Vezirgiannidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Ramūnas Spudys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rozalimas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramūnas Spudys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vincentas Misevičius came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rozalimas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincentas Misevičius couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidas Ežerskis in the 72nd minute of play forced Rozalimas's goalkeeper Nedas Žadeika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Padubisio supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rozalimas's performance. The match ended with a win for Rozalimas.
