Marijonas Jurgaitis charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Eligijus Barvainis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Eligijus Jatkauskas 62 minutes into the match. Žydrūnas Svetulevičius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eligijus Jatkauskas came out and tried to block the shot, but Žydrūnas Svetulevičius slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 81st minute. Eligijus Barvainis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitoldas Bendorius to maneuver through the defense. Eligijus Barvainis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Eligijus Jatkauskas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 96th minute, Eligijus Barvainis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Ignas Gaubšas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
