After 6 minutes of play FC Kolnyany's Vaidotas Augutis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After having played for 9 minutes, Redas Andriuškevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pavilkija's supporters crossed their fingers, but Redas Andriuškevičius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Žydrūnas Kalvaitis kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Vygandas Tamošiūnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sikstas Poškus kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Pavilkija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stasys Trubutis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelijus Karanauskas in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Kolnyany's goalkeeper Martynas Varanauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Algimantas Jaugėla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Pavilkija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vygantas Vaičius to maneuver through the defense. Merūnas Grigalaitis charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merūnas Grigalaitis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pavilkija fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Algimantas Jaugėla shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 35 minutes into the game, FC Kolnyany's Algimantas Jaugėla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Einaras Imbrasas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Martynas Varanauskas came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Pavilkija's Aurelijus Karanauskas. But to his dismay, Aurelijus Karanauskas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. FC Kolnyany's Martynas Varanauskas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Kolnyany from getting a goal against them. Germanas Goštautas hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Pavilkija got a corner. FC Kolnyany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelijus Karanauskas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Algimantas Jaugėla to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Pavilkija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merūnas Grigalaitis to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Algimantas Jaugėla in the 55th minute really tested Einaras Imbrasas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Žydrūnas Kalvaitis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Aurelijus Karanauskas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Algimantas Jaugėla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einaras Imbrasas having to interfere. Algimantas Jaugėla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Martynas Varanauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vygantas Vaičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 minutes, Žydrūnas Kalvaitis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kolnyany and the Pavilkija players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Kolnyany's Vygandas Tamošiūnas got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Pavilkija's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Algimantas Jaugėla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Martynas Varanauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Redas Andriuškevičius in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
