The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaldas Mikalajūnas got free with Vytis Kucys in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Arūnas Diržys in the 77th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Vytis Kucys kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-9 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Evaldas Mikalajūnas put it in 0-10 from a short distance just to the right of Vytis Kucys.
