Einaras Imbrasas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stasys Bielskis in the 6th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Redas Andriuškevičius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ovidijus Žiogas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jokūbas Andriuška was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. Valdemaras Gadliauskas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Aurelijus Karanauskas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naujasode FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelijus Karanauskas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Redas Andriuškevičius in the 26th minute of play forced Vaivoriai's goalkeeper Ovidijus Žiogas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaivoriai's Ovidijus Žiogas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasys Trubutis in the 27th minute of play. Ovidijus Žiogas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelijus Karanauskas went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Ovidijus Žiogas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelijus Karanauskas in the 34th minute of play. Ovidijus Žiogas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelijus Karanauskas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Vaivoriai's goal looked a bit too open when Stasys Trubutis came free, but Ovidijus Žiogas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The supporters of Naujasode FC booed when Vaivoriai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemaras Gadliauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Stasys Trubutis made a precise shot to the right of Ovidijus Žiogas. Vaivoriai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After some careless play in the Vaivoriai defense, Vismantas Stravinskas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidijus Žiogas. The Vaivoriai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidijus Žiogas should have stopped the shot. After 71 played minutes Vaivoriai got a freekick which was hit by Remigijus Palšis. With a little luck, Vaivoriai's Ovidijus Žiogas got control of the ball when Aurelijus Karanauskas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vaivoriai's Ovidijus Žiogas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasys Trubutis in the 76th minute of play. Vaivoriai's Ovidijus Žiogas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Vaivoriai from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remigijus Palšis in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Einaras Imbrasas saved Naujasode FC from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Augustas Banys in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vaivoriai's Vygandas Čižas. Einaras Imbrasas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigijus Palšis in the 86th minute of play. Ovidijus Žiogas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasys Trubutis in the 87th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Merūnas Grigalaitis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naujasode FC and the Vaivoriai players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Naujasode FC got a freekick which was hit by Merūnas Grigalaitis. After having played for 91 minutes, Remigijus Palšis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaivoriai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigijus Palšis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Naujasode FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
