A collision led to Vilkavishkis getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gvidonas Kudzma hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Algimantas Jaugėla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vytis Kucys was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mantas Bilaitis lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vilkavishkis! Vilkavishkis:s Vytis Kucys showed great skill when he stopped Algimantas Jaugėla:s penalty. In the 18th minute, Algimantas Jaugėla made a precise shot to the right of Vytis Kucys. Vilkavishkis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Algimantas Jaugėla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Algimantas Jaugėla put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Vytis Kucys. Aurimas Guzauskas's late challenge caught a FC Kolnyany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurimas Guzauskas helped the player get up and apologised. If Vygandas Tamošiūnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half FC Kolnyany were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Algimantas Jaugėla made a kick off. With his leg Vytis Kucys managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when FC Kolnyany's Algimantas Jaugėla fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 55 minutes, Algimantas Jaugėla made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Vilkavishkis's Vytis Kucys tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Vaidotas Augutis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Algimantas Jaugėla had several of the Vilkavishkis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Vytis Kucys as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience was convinced that Algimantas Jaugėla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vytis Kucys was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 66thth minute of the game Algimantas Jaugėla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vilkavishkis's Vytis Kucys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Algimantas Jaugėla put it in 0-10 from a short distance just to the right of Vytis Kucys. After 84 minutes, Algimantas Jaugėla made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Vilkavishkis's Vytis Kucys tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Algimantas Jaugėla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kolnyany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Algimantas Jaugėla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Algimantas Jaugėla got free with Vytis Kucys in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the game, Vaidotas Augutis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Vytis Kucys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over FC Kolnyany could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vilkavishkis throughout the match.
