The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valdemaras Gadliauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ovidijus Žiogas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gytis Maižys. Adas Valionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jokūbas Butnorius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidijus Žiogas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasys Aleksandravičius in the 12th minute of the match. Jokūbas Butnorius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adas Valionis having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Stasys Bielskis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Remigijus Palšis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes in the game, Narūnas Bilota fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ovidijus Žiogas having to interfere. Adas Valionis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasys Bielskis in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Narūnas Bilota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Janioniai and the Vaivoriai players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Narūnas Bilota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Remigijus Palšis made a precise shot to the right of Adas Valionis. Janioniai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Narūnas Bilota hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Remigijus Palšis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Vaivoriai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigijus Palšis couldn't finish the play. In the 41st match minute, Janioniai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domas Gasparaitis to maneuver through the defense. Adas Valionis came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vaivoriai's Stasys Bielskis. But to his dismay, Stasys Bielskis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasys Bielskis in the 46th minute of play forced Janioniai's goalkeeper Adas Valionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Stasys Bielskis made the kick off in the second half. Stasys Bielskis in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adas Valionis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Adas Valionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigijus Palšis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janioniai's Adas Valionis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Janioniai from getting a goal against them. Jokūbas Butnorius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Adas Valionis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stasys Bielskis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Adas Valionis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 64 minutes into the match, Janioniai's goalkeeper Adas Valionis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vygandas Čižas. Vaivoriai's Vygandas Čižas got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vygandas Čižas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vygandas Čižas got free with Adas Valionis in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vygandas Čižas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adas Valionis having to interfere. Remigijus Palšis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Adas Valionis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Janioniai's Adas Valionis got control of the ball when Stasys Bielskis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jokūbas Butnorius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adas Valionis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasys Aleksandravičius in the 85th minute of play forced Vaivoriai's goalkeeper Ovidijus Žiogas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vygandas Čižas in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adas Valionis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vygandas Čižas in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adas Valionis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vygandas Čižas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Adas Valionis made a huge save. Stasys Bielskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adas Valionis having to interfere. Vaivoriai played a much better game than Janioniai and deserved their victory. The Janioniai players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
