Emilis Domkus hit a great ball. Romas Kimbartas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundas Maižys in the 8th minute of the match. If Deimantas Repeika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Emilis Domkus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fritz Molander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deimantas Repeika hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubertas Vadišius in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romas Kimbartas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hubertas Vadišius was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Kurkliu booed when Lopaiciu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Girkantas Jablonskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romas Kimbartas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anicetas Baracevičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romas Kimbartas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hubertas Vadišius went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Romas Kimbartas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dobilas Kybartas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Lopaiciu got a freekick which was hit by Deimantas Repeika. In the 80th match minute, Kurkliu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nojus Kaminskas to maneuver through the defense. Romas Kimbartas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubertas Vadišius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Kurkliu's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundas Maižys came free, but Romas Kimbartas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurkliu's Romas Kimbartas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundas Maižys in the 89th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Juozapas Mažeika mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kurkliu and the Lopaiciu players grew even worse after the yellow card.
