Spectators: 7296 (Terracing: 6296, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Apelsin's Danas Beniušis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Ąžuolas Kelmys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merūnas Bazaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th match minute, FC Apelsin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarūnas Maksimavičius to maneuver through the defense. Merūnas Bazaras came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Peckeliai's Ąžuolas Kelmys. But to his dismay, Ąžuolas Kelmys quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ąžuolas Kelmys in the 9th minute of play forced FC Apelsin's goalkeeper Merūnas Bazaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vygandas Vilkas during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Apelsin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! In the 12th minute there was a penalty for FK Peckeliai. Sigitas Alekveravičius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Merūnas Bazaras. 0-2. With 17 minutes on the clock, Vygandas Vilkas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Apelsin! The referee gave FK Peckeliai a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sigitas Alekveravičius, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Apelsin's Merūnas Bazaras. 0-3. Kristupas Daugirdas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merūnas Bazaras having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristupas Daugirdas in the 26th minute of play forced FC Apelsin's goalkeeper Merūnas Bazaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justas Juodris hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Laimutis Imbrozaitis's late challenge caught a FK Peckeliai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laimutis Imbrozaitis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Giedrius Paukštis made a precise shot to the right of Merūnas Bazaras. FC Apelsin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Merūnas Bazaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristupas Daugirdas in the 45th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ąžuolas Kelmys was the one to do the kick off. FC Apelsin's Merūnas Bazaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ąžuolas Kelmys in the 66th minute of play. Merūnas Bazaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ąžuolas Kelmys, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Kristupas Daugirdas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Merūnas Bazaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merūnas Bazaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ąžuolas Kelmys in the 86th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, FK Peckeliai's Kristupas Daugirdas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Merūnas Bazaras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kristupas Daugirdas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Merūnas Bazaras made a huge save. The FC Apelsin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FK Peckeliai were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
