After having played for 17 minutes, Mindaugas Smilgys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lybiskia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mindaugas Smilgys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Drąsutis Paliūnas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Linas Gerulskis made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Raimundas Sirvydis sent off a good shot on target. Lybiskia's Linas Gerulskis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Lybiskia from getting a goal against them. After 30 played minutes Lybiskia got a freekick which was hit by Marijus Lapeika. If Raimundas Sirvydis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rytis Andrijaitis came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Lybiskia's Marijus Lapeika. But to his dismay, Marijus Lapeika quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundas Sirvydis made a kick off. Marijus Lapeikas short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Rytis Andrijaitis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Karolis Dambrauskas got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Trukiske getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. With a little luck, Trukiske's Rytis Andrijaitis got control of the ball when Marijus Lapeika tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marijus Lapeika who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Rytis Andrijaitis when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
