Ligitas Ambrasas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ramūnas Knieža tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramūnas Knieža made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundas Sirvydis in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, NEMUNAS KAUNAS's goalkeeper Ramūnas Knieža had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundas Sirvydis. In the 20th match minute, NEMUNAS KAUNAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislovas Strielkauskas to maneuver through the defense. Deividas Tamošauskas came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ramūnas Knieža could save by the left post. Ignas Drazdauskas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Saulius Tarasevičius hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Ignas Drazdauskas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, NEMUNAS KAUNAS's Stanislovas Strielkauskas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rytis Andrijaitis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ramūnas Knieža was a little too slow when Ligitas Ambrasas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-1. 44 minutes into the game, Ignas Drazdauskas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NEMUNAS KAUNAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trukiske the free kick. After a rather tough play, NEMUNAS KAUNAS's Ignas Drazdauskas got a free kick in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the game, Deividas Tamošauskas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ramūnas Knieža was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stanislovas Strielkauskas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the NEMUNAS KAUNAS defense, Ligitas Ambrasas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramūnas Knieža. The NEMUNAS KAUNAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramūnas Knieža should have stopped the shot. Ramūnas Knieža came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Trukiske's Raimundas Sirvydis. But to his dismay, Raimundas Sirvydis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Stanislovas Strielkauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, NEMUNAS KAUNAS's Aistis Kuprys ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rytis Andrijaitis. Rytis Andrijaitis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. When Ignas Drazdauskas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the NEMUNAS KAUNAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignas Drazdauskas couldn't finish the play. Aistis Kuprys could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rytis Andrijaitis made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislovas Strielkauskas in the 71st minute of play forced Trukiske's goalkeeper Rytis Andrijaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aistis Kuprys hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, NEMUNAS KAUNAS's Saulius Tarasevičius got a free kick in the 74th minute. Ramūnas Knieža didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundas Sirvydis went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. In the 91st match minute, NEMUNAS KAUNAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stasys Rudys to maneuver through the defense. Ligitas Ambrasas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramūnas Knieža. NEMUNAS KAUNAS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aistis Kuprys came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rytis Andrijaitis could save by the left post. Stanislovas Strielkauskas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rytis Andrijaitis came out and tried to block the shot, but Stanislovas Strielkauskas slotted it home off the left post making it 7-3 in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the NEMUNAS KAUNAS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Trukiske.
