After some careless play in the Viktorija defense, Igor Cãpraru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konstantinas Dičiunas. The Viktorija fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konstantinas Dičiunas should have stopped the shot. In the 10th minute Dominic Schepens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mantas Balabonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FK ATLANTAS's Mantas Balabonas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save FK ATLANTAS from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Viktorija were awarded a corner. Eduardas Sadauskas went to the cornerflag to take it. After 17 minutes, Renatas Vaidžiulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viktorija and the FK ATLANTAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Renatas Vaidžiulis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Viktorija's Konstantinas Dičiunas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadas Obrikis in the 18th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Viktorija got a freekick which was hit by Renatas Vaidžiulis. Konstantinas Dičiunas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadas Obrikis in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Dobromir Wicherek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FK ATLANTAS getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Valentas Baravykas hit a great ball. Mantas Balabonas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliodor Tudoran went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Viktorija's Eliodor Tudoran got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Dominic Schepens made a precise shot to the right of Mantas Balabonas. FK ATLANTAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadas Obrikis in the 48th minute of play forced Viktorija's goalkeeper Konstantinas Dičiunas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliodor Tudoran to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes FK ATLANTAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduardas Sadauskas who took care of the corner kick. Dobromir Wicherek made a great header on Viktorija's corner, it was just that FK ATLANTAS's Mantas Balabonas managed to reach the ball for a save. Dominic Schepens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 played minutes Viktorija got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Tudoran. Konstantinas Dičiunas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadas Obrikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Dominic Schepens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mantas Balabonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Viktorija fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Viktorija's Eliodor Tudoran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Eliodor Tudoran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliodor Tudoran in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mantas Balabonas saved FK ATLANTAS from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Eliodor Tudoran put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mantas Balabonas. Mantas Balabonas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobromir Wicherek in the 73rd minute of play. Viktorija's Raimundas Obrikis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mantas Balabonas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Schepens couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, FK ATLANTAS's goal looked a bit too open when Liudas Alksmantas came free, but Mantas Balabonas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Eliodor Tudoran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominic Schepens in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mantas Balabonas saved FK ATLANTAS from getting behind. Konstantinas Dičiunas made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Igor Cãpraru sent off a good shot on target. Mantas Balabonas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominic Schepens, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Mantas Balabonas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Schepens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Viktorija players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
