Legionas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rupertas Jančys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Legionas getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Anicetas Grigaliūnas hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arunas Silanskis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rupertas Jančys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Zygimantas Baliunas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Legionas's Vilius Čiuzas got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rupertas Jančys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupertas Jančys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zygimantas Baliunas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zygimantas Baliunas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rupertas Jančys's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Remigijus Kalvis charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigijus Kalvis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, FBK Gagaytse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonsas Preiksaitis to maneuver through the defense.
