Vilius Čiuzas took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sikstas Būlis. Sikstas Būlis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Girkantas Bikas made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Agnius Gerulskis sent off a good shot on target. Aldas Matusevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rokas Gegeckas in the 18th minute of play forced Legionas's goalkeeper Girkantas Bikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilius Čiuzas might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sikstas Būlis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilius Čiuzas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Lomeikiskiai's Gabrielius Dičiunas got a free kick in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rupertas Jančys in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sikstas Būlis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sikstas Būlis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupertas Jančys in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rokas Gegeckas in the 41st minute of play forced Legionas's goalkeeper Girkantas Bikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Vilius Čiuzas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sikstas Būlis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rupertas Jančys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lomeikiskiai's Alfonsas Pipiras pulled a muscle in his back after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Faustão Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legionas's protests and gave Faustão Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Lomeikiskiai got a freekick which was hit by Mindaugas Dičiunas. The audience was convinced that Agnius Gerulskis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Girkantas Bikas was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Rupertas Jančys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legionas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rupertas Jančys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sikstas Būlis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Agnius Gerulskis put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Girkantas Bikas. Rokas Gegeckas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Girkantas Bikas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agnius Gerulskis in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Girkantas Bikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Lomeikiskiai's zone, Rupertas Jančys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sikstas Būlis came out of the goal and Rupertas Jančys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rupertas Jančys got free with Sikstas Būlis in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Lomeikiskiai lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
