Tomas Kaušas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramūnas Kavaliūnas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 9 minute of play. Tomas Kaušas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramūnas Kavaliūnas in the 13th minute of play. Azhulauke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Naujakiemis the free kick. Astijus Alesius hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Robertas Burkys scored 2-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Kaušas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Rimvydas Daukantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramūnas Kavaliūnas in the 48th minute of play forced Naujakiemis's goalkeeper Tomas Kaušas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramūnas Kavaliūnas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Girkantas Pukelis in the 55th minute of play forced Naujakiemis's goalkeeper Tomas Kaušas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Girkantas Pukelis in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Kaušas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Rimvydas Daukantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Kaušas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Girkantas Pukelis in the 63rd minute of play. Nerūnas Žiogas charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nerūnas Žiogas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Azhulauke booed when Naujakiemis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nerūnas Žiogas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rimvydas Daukantas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-3 in the 70th playminute. Girkantas Pukelis kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Tomas Kaušas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Girkantas Pukelis in the 81st minute of the match.
