Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Girkantas Turskis made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 2 minutes, Girkantas Turskis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mazuciai FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Girkantas Turskis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimondas Kuodys stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Girkantas Turskis's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Deividas Daudoravičius's late challenge caught a UNITED Kaunas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deividas Daudoravičius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Mazuciai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deividas Daudoravičius to maneuver through the defense. Domas Ganusauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Raimondas Kuodys made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Mazuciai FC's Juozapas Gruzdas got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Raimundas Šernas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Klemensas Bazaras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfas Dervinis having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Klemensas Bazaras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UNITED Kaunas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mazuciai FC the free kick. If Klemensas Bazaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klemensas Bazaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, UNITED Kaunas's Klemensas Bazaras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfas Dervinis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klemensas Bazaras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mazuciai FC's goalkeeper Adolfas Dervinis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundas Šernas. In the 59th minute Girkantas Turskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimondas Kuodys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimondas Kuodys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Girkantas Turskis in the 61st minute of play. When Skirmantas Vainauskas fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UNITED Kaunas's protests and gave Skirmantas Vainauskas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mazuciai FC booed when UNITED Kaunas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Skirmantas Vainauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to UNITED Kaunas getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Skirmantas Vainauskas hit a great ball. Klemensas Bazaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Klemensas Bazaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes of play, UNITED Kaunas's Klemensas Bazaras made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfas Dervinis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Girkantas Turskis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Raimondas Kuodys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Girkantas Turskis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimondas Kuodys was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 91 minutes into the game, UNITED Kaunas's Raimundas Šernas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfas Dervinis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. When the match was over UNITED Kaunas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mazuciai FC throughout the match.
