Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dobilas Rudys took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dobilas Rudys who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Raimondas Kuodys when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Raimondas Kuodys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mindaugas Kirklys in the 7th minute of play. Benediktas Zybartas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundas Šernas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Jakenu's goal looked a bit too open when Kastytis Norkūnas came free, but Benediktas Zybartas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Albertas Keršulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albertas Keršulis kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Klemensas Bazaras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jakenu's Benediktas Zybartas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind UNITED Kaunas's goalkeeper Raimondas Kuodys, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, UNITED Kaunas's Skirmantas Vainauskas got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Raimundas Šernas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kastytis Norkūnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Benediktas Zybartas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valdemaras Tamošauskas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jakenu's protests and gave Valdemaras Tamošauskas a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jakenu! In the 37th minute there was a penalty for UNITED Kaunas. Raimundas Šernas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benediktas Zybartas. 0-1. Skirmantas Vainauskas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Raimondas Kuodys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupertas Cirtautas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Kastytis Norkūnas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Klemensas Bazaras made the kick off in the second half. Skirmantas Danielius charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Skirmantas Danielius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jakenu getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Skirmantas Danielius hit a great ball. UNITED Kaunas were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Jakenu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raimundas Šernas took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Jakenu's zone, Klemensas Bazaras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benediktas Zybartas came out of the goal and Klemensas Bazaras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albertas Keršulis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Klemensas Bazaras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UNITED Kaunas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klemensas Bazaras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. UNITED Kaunas made a substitution. Nedas Buzelis replaced Skirmantas Vainauskas. UNITED Kaunas made a substitution. Dominykas Grigutis replaced Aistis Žilevičius. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klemensas Bazaras got free with Benediktas Zybartas in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bronislovas Dūdėnas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Raimundas Šernas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jakenu's Benediktas Zybartas didn't even have to move. Benediktas Zybartas came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by UNITED Kaunas's Klemensas Bazaras. But to his dismay, Klemensas Bazaras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupertas Cirtautas in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimondas Kuodys saved UNITED Kaunas from getting behind. Klemensas Bazaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Benediktas Zybartas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Klemensas Bazaras managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNITED Kaunas's supporters rose to their feet, but Klemensas Bazaras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benediktas Zybartas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Raimundas Šernas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kastytis Norkūnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benediktas Zybartas having to interfere. UNITED Kaunas's Klemensas Bazaras suffered a concussion after 92 minutes and had to leave the field. Jakenu's Valdemaras Tamošauskas got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Valdemaras Tamošauskas off the ground. UNITED Kaunas's Aldas Česnauskis was substituted for Klemensas Bazaras. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jakenu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! UNITED Kaunas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
