With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juras Svetulevičius in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vakaris Bagdonas saved Ruska from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gediminas Vainauskas during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gediminas Vainauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Šarūnas Penkauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ruska's Jonas Zuoza got a free kick in the 19th minute. Vakaris Bagdonas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karolis Gilaitis in the 19th minute. Juras Svetulevičius scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vakaris Bagdonas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juras Svetulevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Vakaris Bagdonas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Šarūnas Penkauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, FC Egydasas's goal looked a bit too open when Beržas Vitkauskas came free, but Edmundas Sabaliauskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juras Svetulevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vakaris Bagdonas having to interfere. When FC Egydasas's Juras Svetulevičius in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruska's goalie prevented a goal. Vakaris Bagdonas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juras Svetulevičius in the 40th minute of the match. If Juras Svetulevičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ruska getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jonas Zuoza hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beržas Vitkauskas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes FC Egydasas got a freekick which was hit by Sigitas Ainis. When FC Egydasas's Gediminas Vainauskas in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruska's goalie prevented a goal. Juras Svetulevičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vakaris Bagdonas went to the wrong direction when Karolis Gilaitis was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Juras Svetulevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Egydasas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juras Svetulevičius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute Juras Svetulevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vakaris Bagdonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romas Kazakevičius in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundas Sabaliauskas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romas Kazakevičius's late challenge caught a FC Egydasas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romas Kazakevičius helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Egydasas booed when Ruska was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romas Kazakevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juras Svetulevičius might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vakaris Bagdonas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juras Svetulevičius ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that FC Egydasas were the better team. FC Egydasas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
