In the 15thth minute of the game Rokas Pranys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LFK Spyris's Konstantinas Malevičius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Ovidijus Rapalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FK Alytis's Vladas Martinaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldas Alvinskas in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, FK Alytis's goal looked a bit too open when Aldas Alvinskas came free, but Vladas Martinaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladas Martinaitis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldas Alvinskas's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Vladas Martinaitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Mikuckis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Tolvaiša's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Konstantinas Malevičius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. FK Alytis were furious when Erikas Klastaitis was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 33rd minute, one of FK Alytis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FK Alytis. After 37 played minutes FK Alytis got a freekick which was hit by Leonas Stankevičius. If Tomas Tolvaiša had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute of the match, Tomas Tolvaiša got a very nice opportunity to score, but Konstantinas Malevičius was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aldas Alvinskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Aldas Alvinskas made the kick off in the second half. Vladas Martinaitis made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Aldas Alvinskas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Tolvaiša fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantinas Malevičius having to interfere. Mantas Kairelis kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FK Alytis's Vygandas Paškevičius got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Rokas Pranys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FK Alytis's zone, Giedrius Domeika stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladas Martinaitis came out of the goal and Giedrius Domeika tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldas Alvinskas in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladas Martinaitis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Vygandas Paškevičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Tolvaiša received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Konstantinas Malevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, FK Alytis's goalkeeper Vladas Martinaitis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldas Alvinskas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mantas Kairelis in the 81st minute of play forced FK Alytis's goalkeeper Vladas Martinaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute FK Alytis were awarded a corner. Alatz Fresnos went to the cornerflag to take it. When Vygandas Paškevičius came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the FK Alytis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vygandas Paškevičius couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, FK Alytis's goalkeeper Vladas Martinaitis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldas Alvinskas. In a very dangerous position, a player in FK Alytis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Arminas Ambrazas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The supporters of FK Alytis booed when LFK Spyris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arminas Ambrazas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LFK Spyris walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
