The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Titas Rapalis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vilkenai's Vismantas Niauronis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adolfo Carrizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liudas Pocius, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Žalia Giria's Hikmet Lebib got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Vilkenai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liudas Pocius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Vilkenai's Hubertas Miežys got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Titas Rapalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vismantas Niauronis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, Vaidas Maciulevičius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vismantas Niauronis. Vilkenai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaidas Maciulevičius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 47 minutes into the game, FC Žalia Giria's Vaidas Maciulevičius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vismantas Niauronis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Titas Rapalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vismantas Niauronis having to interfere. Adolfo Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubertas Miežys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertas Augys's late challenge caught a FC Žalia Giria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertas Augys helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vilkenai's Albertas Augys got a free kick in the 59th minute. Vaidas Maciulevičius succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Titas Rapalis got free with Vismantas Niauronis in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 73 in the game by Titas Rapalis from a close distance when the talented Vismantas Niauronis managed to make a qualified save. Vilkenai's players were relieved. 76 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's Titas Rapalis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vismantas Niauronis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jotautas Diršė in the 77th minute of the match. If Titas Rapalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Titas Rapalis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Titas Rapalis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vismantas Niauronis. That made the score 0-8 in the 86 minute of play. The attack was good, but when Vaidas Maciulevičius in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 94th minute, Titas Rapalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded FC Žalia Giria left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vilkenai.
