When Jotautas Diršė fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilkenai's protests and gave Jotautas Diršė a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Jotautas Diršė hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The nice shot from Vincentas Dačys in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Vismantas Niauronis had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Eugenijus Jazukevičius hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darius Pipiras in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vismantas Niauronis saved Vilkenai from getting behind. 1-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Vincentas Dačys elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Liudas Pocius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Aras Pocevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Vincentas Dačys had to leave the field with a concussion. After 31 minutes, Vincentas Kerbedis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilkenai and the Saltiniai players grew even worse after the yellow card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Vilkenai:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Saltiniai's Darius Pipiras got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vismantas Niauronis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Pipiras in the 37th minute of play forced Vilkenai's goalkeeper Vismantas Niauronis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aras Pocevičius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liudas Pocius's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Aras Pocevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liudas Pocius, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Saltiniai's Aras Pocevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liudas Pocius in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hubertas Miežys in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aras Pocevičius saved Saltiniai from getting behind. In the 48th minute Hubertas Miežys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aras Pocevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liudas Pocius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Bronius Sutkus put in a rough tackle. 55 minutes into the game, one of Vilkenai:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Vilkenai's zone, Darius Pipiras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vismantas Niauronis came out of the goal and Darius Pipiras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Darius Pipiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vismantas Niauronis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darius Pipiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vismantas Niauronis having to interfere. Hubertas Miežys in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aras Pocevičius, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Saltiniai's Aras Pocevičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Saltiniai from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Hubertas Miežys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vilkenai's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubertas Miežys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aras Pocevičius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilkenai's Jotautas Diršė slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aras Pocevičius. That made the score 3-1 after 88 minutes of play. Vismantas Niauronis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Pipiras in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Saltiniai got a freekick which was hit by Tadas Žiemelis. In the 94th minute, Hubertas Miežys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lukas Gaška sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Darius Pipiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saltiniai's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
