Tadas Žiemelis charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadas Žiemelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Saltiniai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadas Žiemelis to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Royal Club Siauliai's Svajūnas Petronis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aras Pocevičius. Aras Pocevičius yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Aras Pocevičius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svajūnas Petronis in the 20th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Royal Club Siauliai's goal looked a bit too open when Darius Pipiras came free, but Dangiras Labuckas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svajūnas Petronis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 31st playminute. Daugirdas Burneika's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aras Pocevičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Aras Pocevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daugirdas Burneika in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute Daugirdas Burneika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aras Pocevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darius Pipiras made a kick off. Vincentas Dačys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Narūnas Barzinskas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Royal Club Siauliai's goalkeeper Dangiras Labuckas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladas Tamkus. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daugirdas Burneika in the 66th minute of play forced Saltiniai's goalkeeper Aras Pocevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Royal Club Siauliai's Dangiras Labuckas got control of the ball when Vincentas Dačys tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Saltiniai defense, Raimondas Danilaitis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aras Pocevičius. The Saltiniai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aras Pocevičius should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Royal Club Siauliai getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Giedrius Arvazas hit a great ball. Vincentas Dačys blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dangiras Labuckas having to make a save. Svajūnas Petronis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aras Pocevičius having to interfere. Aras Pocevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svajūnas Petronis, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Royal Club Siauliai fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saltiniai had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
