Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sigitas Makūnas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Azytenai booed when Sporting Klapeida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adas Laumakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldas Pažarauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Klapeida's goalkeeper Armin Barberio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Tomas Galskis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Klapeida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azytenai the free kick. In the 16th minute, Tomas Galskis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eligijus Gruodis fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Klapeida's protests and gave Eligijus Gruodis a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Sporting Klapeida got a freekick which was hit by Eligijus Gruodis. Armin Barberio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinas Daubaras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martynas Vadišius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigitas Makūnas in the 29th minute of the match. Airidas Adomavičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armin Barberio having to interfere. Martynas Vadišius came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Klapeida's Irmantas Lavickas. But to his dismay, Irmantas Lavickas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Martynas Vadišius made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Marijus Pučinksas sent off a good shot on target. Azytenai's Martynas Vadišius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Azytenai from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Marijus Pučinksas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martynas Vadišius didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After a rather tough play, Azytenai's Augustin Zberea got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Airidas Adomavičius came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Azytenai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Airidas Adomavičius couldn't finish the play. Konstantinas Daubaras's late challenge caught a Sporting Klapeida's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konstantinas Daubaras helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sporting Klapeida booed when Azytenai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Šarūnas Šemeta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martynas Vadišius having to make a save. Armin Barberio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinas Daubaras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azytenai's Darius Majauskas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Azytenai got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Zberea. In the 87th minute, Airidas Adomavičius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leocadio Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martynas Vadišius having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstantinas Daubaras got free with Armin Barberio in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
