The audience thought a goal was coming when Einaras Aleksonis got free with Martynas Vadišius in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the game, Rytis Krasauskas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martynas Vadišius. Rytis Krasauskas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Arvydas Sabonis struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Vladas Mišeikis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azytenai. After some careless play in the Azytenai defense, Einaras Aleksonis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martynas Vadišius. The Azytenai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martynas Vadišius should have stopped the shot. Arvydas Sabonis kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Martynas Vadišius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinaras Gintila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rytis Krasauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Airidas Adomavičius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladas Mišeikis. Kulniskiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Airidas Adomavičius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
In the 54th minute Einaras Aleksonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martynas Vadišius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Kulniskiu's Einaras Aleksonis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martynas Vadišius was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martynas Vadišius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinaras Gintila in the 64th minute of the match. Arvydas Sabonis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladas Mišeikis having to interfere. Vladas Mišeikis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arvydas Sabonis in the 68th minute. The supporters of Azytenai booed when Kulniskiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rytis Krasauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladas Mišeikis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubertas Petroliūnas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Azytenai's Arvydas Sabonis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladas Mišeikis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Einaras Aleksonis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kulniskiu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
