Robertas Sabaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Chamberlain in the 11th minute of play. Robertas Sabaitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Chamberlain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Robertas Sabaitis managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when FC Alytus United's Jarūnas Kuliešius fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Algitas Girkantas took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daugirdas Burokas. Daugirdas Burokas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Daugirdas Burokas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Algitas Girkantas's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Kris Chamberlain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robertas Sabaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robertas Sabaitis made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Romualdas Motiekaitis sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute of the game Daavid Šembera made a throw-in which Romualdas Motiekaitis played forward. With a little luck, Absoliut's Robertas Sabaitis got control of the ball when Jarūnas Kuliešius tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 40th minute of play forced Absoliut's goalkeeper Robertas Sabaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Absoliut's Robertas Sabaitis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Absoliut from getting a goal against them. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
