In the 2nd minute, Sigitas Jakubauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis got control of the ball when Tomas Danilevičius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ovidijus Merkelis was a little too slow when Hubertas Dabkevičius got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Geležinis Vilkas from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Arūnas Pukelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute of the game Sigitas Jakubauskas made a throw-in which Hubertas Dabkevičius played forward. 28 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Ovidijus Merkelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Danilevičius. Tomas Danilevičius took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidijus Merkelis. Ovidijus Merkelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ovidijus Merkelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Hubertas Dabkevičius came free, but Ovidijus Merkelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Geležinis Vilkas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leandro Grimi was slow to take the kick. During this time FK Mintis Vilnius's players had a chance to rest. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Sigitas Jakubauskas with Isreal Rivas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 52 minutes into the game, Nojus Bikas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Oliver Can was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver Can narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Tomas Danilevičius notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis. Ovidijus Merkelis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FK Mintis Vilnius made a substitution. Aldas Galkus replaced Grant Pustak. In the 75th minute Arūnas Pukelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidijus Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ovidijus Merkelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 80th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubertas Dabkevičius in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidijus Merkelis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ovidijus Merkelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score.
