Osama Hamdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aldridge AFC. The supporters of Pondersbridge AFC booed when Aldridge AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borhan Adib didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sam Diouf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pondersbridge AFC's zone, Saleh Nijad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osama Hamdi came out of the goal and Saleh Nijad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamam Yaseen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Khalil Abdul Ahad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashid Dhakir having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Shukri Yusri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aldridge AFC and the Pondersbridge AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Shukri Yusri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the game, one of Aldridge AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Pondersbridge AFC a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hamam Yaseen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aldridge AFC's Rashid Dhakir. 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saleh Nijad was the one to do the kick off. 62 minutes into the game, Aldridge AFC's Saleh Nijad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osama Hamdi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Aldridge AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Shukri Yusri hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Sam Diouf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aldridge AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Diouf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osama Hamdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osama Hamdi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sam Diouf went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Pondersbridge AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
