But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdul Halim Hamid couldn't finish the play. Salvador Estefan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fadi Imad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Anwar Nawfal. After 12 played minutes Middle East University got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Estefan. After having played for 14 minutes, Abdul Halim Hamid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Middle East University's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdul Halim Hamid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fadi Imad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdul Halim Hamid, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Anwar Nawfal fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Anwar Nawfal a yellow card for diving instead. Anwar Nawfal kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Salvador Estefan made a precise shot to the right of Fadi Imad. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Abdul Halim Hamid came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Middle East University fans jumped to their feet. Fadi Imad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Middle East University. Ramez Umayr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Salvador Estefan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdul Halim Hamid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Middle East University were awarded a corner. Abdul Halim Hamid went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Middle East University's corner Abdul Halim Hamid fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fadi Imad quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Fadi Imad got control of the ball when Salvador Estefan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salvador Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Ramez Umayr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Masoud Abou Hafez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Middle East University's Abbas Jabbar got a free kick in the 75th minute. Salvador Estefan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. In the 88th minute, Amin Abdul Hakam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Fadi Imad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
