Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Salim Abdul Baqi took the kick off in the first half of the match. The Chester-le-Street FC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Chester-le-Street FC's Kamel Tawfiq looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fouad Zaki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamel Tawfiq in the 8th minute of play. Aboud Yazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Wadi Sultan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chester-le-Street FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wadi Sultan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fouad Zaki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salim Abdul Baqi in the 16th minute of play forced Gateshead City's goalkeeper Fouad Zaki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kamel Tawfiq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fouad Zaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chester-le-Street FC's Kamel Tawfiq in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gateshead City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 23rd match minute, Gateshead City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amir Benjaro to maneuver through the defense. Fouad Zaki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salim Abdul Baqi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Aboud Yazan came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ilyas Fakhro could save by the left post. Aboud Yazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ilyas Fakhro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kamel Tawfiq's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fouad Zaki was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Fouad Zaki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salim Abdul Baqi in the 42nd minute of the match. Ubaid Touffah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Ilyas Fakhro managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Gateshead City's Aboud Yazan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half Chester-le-Street FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kamel Tawfiq got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-2 in the right cross in the 51st match minute before Fouad Zaki had time to react. After a defensive mix-up in Chester-le-Street FC's zone, Aboud Yazan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilyas Fakhro came out of the goal and Aboud Yazan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Salim Abdul Baqi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fouad Zaki was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Salim Abdul Baqi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fouad Zaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kamel Tawfiq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Chester-le-Street FC's Kamel Tawfiq got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gateshead City's zone, Kamel Tawfiq stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fouad Zaki came out of the goal and Kamel Tawfiq tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Salim Abdul Baqi came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Chester-le-Street FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salim Abdul Baqi couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Abdul Majid Husam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amir Benjaro, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kamel Tawfiq recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chester-le-Street FC's Kamel Tawfiq got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Kamel Tawfiq managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chester-le-Street FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamel Tawfiq was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fouad Zaki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gateshead City's Fouad Zaki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Gateshead City from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Kamel Tawfiq sped through Gateshead City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fouad Zaki. If Salim Abdul Baqi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fouad Zaki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Salim Abdul Baqi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 90 minute of play. Chester-le-Street FC played a much better game than Gateshead City and deserved their victory. The Gateshead City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
