Spectators: 9634 (Terracing: 7050, Seating: 2484, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mostafa Ghalib got the match started through his kick off. Falah Abou Fakr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bilal Khadra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Red Star Beirut's goal looked a bit too open when Rasul Budail came free, but Falah Abou Fakr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Club Athlétique Tripoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salah Talab to maneuver through the defense. Zahid Badoume made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bakkar Abdul Hakim sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the game, Salah Talab was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Athlétique Tripoli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Star Beirut the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Club Athlétique Tripoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salah Talab to maneuver through the defense. Falah Abou Fakr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasul Budail in the 22nd minute of the match. Falah Abou Fakr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salah Talab in the 27th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Club Athlétique Tripoli got a freekick which was hit by Hashim Sultan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mostafa Ghalib in the 36th minute of play forced Club Athlétique Tripoli's goalkeeper Zahid Badoume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Athlétique Tripoli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yaser Basim was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Star Beirut's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Red Star Beirut's Yaser Basim to fire away a dangerous shot which Zahid Badoume despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mostafa Ghalib got free with Zahid Badoume in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rasul Budail in the 47th minute of play forced Red Star Beirut's goalkeeper Falah Abou Fakr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sobhi Touffah made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Club Athlétique Tripoli's zone, Mostafa Ghalib stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zahid Badoume came out of the goal and Mostafa Ghalib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zahid Badoume came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Red Star Beirut's Mostafa Ghalib. But to his dismay, Mostafa Ghalib quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Habib Najid kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Rasul Budail shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falah Abou Fakr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Hamzah Isso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falah Abou Fakr was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Red Star Beirut's Falah Abou Fakr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasul Budail in the 76th minute of play. Sobhi Touffah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Falah Abou Fakr made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Red Star Beirut's goal looked a bit too open when Rasul Budail came free, but Falah Abou Fakr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Red Star Beirut's Falah Abou Fakr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Red Star Beirut from getting a goal against them. Red Star Beirut's Falah Abou Fakr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasul Budail in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Red Star Beirut's Bakri Rashid got a free kick in the 89th minute. Salah Talab recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mostafa Ghalib in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zahid Badoume saved Club Athlétique Tripoli from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mostafa Ghalib in the 96th minute of play forced Club Athlétique Tripoli's goalkeeper Zahid Badoume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Club Athlétique Tripoli's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Athlétique Tripoli may have spent more time on the ball, but Red Star Beirut were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
