Rafe Jabbar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdul Jabbar Abdul Qadir succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 17th playminute. The supporters of Yateley City booed when Hitchin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qazem Alhusain didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Hitchin getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Yousef Al Tayyib hit a great ball. When Riad Budail came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Yateley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Riad Budail couldn't finish the play. Fahed Awwab kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yateley City! Rafe Jabbar had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Yousef Al Tayyib's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Yousef Al Tayyib fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hitchin's protests and gave Yousef Al Tayyib a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yateley City booed when Hitchin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yousef Al Tayyib didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talib Ghanim was a little too slow when Yehia El Askar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdul Jabbar Abdul Qadir to strike the kick off in the second half. Talib Ghanim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yehia El Askar in the 55th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Hitchin got a freekick which was hit by Masoud Abdul Qadir. Anwar Ghanim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafe Jabbar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Masoud Abdul Qadir, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Yateley City's Abdul Jabbar Abdul Qadir in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hitchin's goalie prevented a goal. Yateley City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anwar Ghanim 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Anwar Ghanim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafe Jabbar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Qazim Qudamah in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute Tamir Touffah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talib Ghanim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Yateley City got a freekick which was hit by Khaled Sajid. After having played for 91 minutes, Anwar Ghanim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hitchin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anwar Ghanim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hitchin's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
