Seating: 2487, VIP seats: 216) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Qasim Talab took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haidar Hilmi in the 6th minute of play forced Tyre Football Club's goalkeeper Thawab Rihad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Zafar Maymun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thawab Rihad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Wasil Walif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thawab Rihad came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayleigh's Ziyad Omar. But to his dismay, Ziyad Omar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Tyre Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ziyad Omar came free, but Thawab Rihad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Haidar Hilmi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Thawab Rihad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wasil Walif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bashar Bakri having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Zafar Maymun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thawab Rihad. Tyre Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zafar Maymun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Tyre Football Club's Thawab Rihad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haidar Hilmi in the 37th minute of play. Thawab Rihad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qasim Talab in the 39th minute of the match. Tyre Football Club's Thawab Rihad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qasim Talab in the 42nd minute of play. Thawab Rihad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziyad Omar in the 43rd minute of the match. Tyre Football Club's Thawab Rihad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qasim Talab in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Rayleigh were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wasil Walif was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Tyre Football Club booed when Rayleigh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdul Rahman Abou Fakr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dani Hilmi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Wasil Walif came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Tyre Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wasil Walif couldn't finish the play. Tyre Football Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Haidar Hilmi scored to the left of an out of position Thawab Rihad, making the score, 0-5. Thawab Rihad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zafar Maymun in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tyre Football Club's goalkeeper Thawab Rihad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tyre Football Club's Ismail Talab got a free kick in the 71st minute. Thawab Rihad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ziyad Omar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 73 minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Wasil Walif managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tyre Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wasil Walif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Qasim Talab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bashar Bakri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasil Walif in the 82nd minute of play. Khaled Idris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bashar Bakri having to interfere. Zahid Muwaffaq hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Bashar Bakri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasil Walif in the 85th minute of play. Zahid Muwaffaq was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 89th match minute, Rayleigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zahid Muwaffaq to maneuver through the defense. Ismail Talab took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bashar Bakri. Rayleigh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Khaled Idris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Rayleigh left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tyre Football Club.
