Qazim Al Tufail scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zahid Badoume, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamzah Isso in the 36th minute of play forced Byblos Phéniciens's goalkeeper Omar Haddad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Haddad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamzah Isso in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Club Athlétique Tripoli got a corner. Byblos Phéniciens's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hashim Sultan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mahdi Haddad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zahid Badoume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qazim Al Tufail could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Zahid Badoume made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sobhi Touffah to make the kick off. Sobhi Touffah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zahid Badoume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shukri Ghanim, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Byblos Phéniciens's Mousa Mujab got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hamzah Isso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Haddad having to interfere. Sobhi Touffah succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 68th playminute. A collision led to Club Athlétique Tripoli getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Bakkar Mumtaz hit a great ball. Zahid Badoume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qazim Al Tufail in the 81st minute of the match. When Club Athlétique Tripoli's Hamzah Isso in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
