Imad Ilias started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Ismail Talab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falah Abou Fakr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imad Ilias charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Imad Ilias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Red Star Beirut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imad Ilias to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute of the match Jamal Abdul Basir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Falah Abou Fakr skillfully saved the ball. Abdallah Madani charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdallah Madani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Red Star Beirut got a freekick which was hit by Abdallah Madani. If Muhannad Imam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Imad Ilias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thawab Rihad. The goal made the score 1-0. With a little luck, Tyre Football Club's Thawab Rihad got control of the ball when Saad Sheikh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thawab Rihad made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Saad Sheikh sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Red Star Beirut booed when Tyre Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismail Talab didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Bakri Rashid shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thawab Rihad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Saad Sheikh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Wasil Walif left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tyre Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wasil Walif stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Tyre Football Club fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Tyre Football Club's Wasil Walif looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Yasin Zahid kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 62 played minutes, Red Star Beirut's Muhannad Imam shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thawab Rihad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Star Beirut reached it. Hamodi Mashrouf hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Muhannad Imam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Star Beirut's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tyre Football Club the free kick. In the 89th minute, Wasil Walif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Saad Sheikh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tyre Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
