Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malik Al Jalahma started the match with the kick off. Maitham Al Barrak made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Wael Abol sent off a good shot on target. Maitham Al Barrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eyad Al Ansari in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Dunton Bassett's Wael Abol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maitham Al Barrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 16 minutes of play, Dunton Bassett's Eyad Al Ansari made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maitham Al Barrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Dunton Bassett getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Darweesh Al Saleh hit a great ball. The supporters of Bader Haji booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darweesh Al Saleh didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Wael Abol fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunton Bassett's protests and gave Wael Abol a yellow card for diving instead. Wael Abol hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Shaker Taqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Bader Haji got a freekick which was hit by Zahid Taiban. Bader Haji's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Eyad Al Ansari scored to the left of an out of position Maitham Al Barrak, making the score, 2-0. Dunton Bassett's Eyad Al Ansari got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bader Haji's Maitham Al Barrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eyad Al Ansari in the 42nd minute of play. Shaker Taqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jawad Al Motar's late challenge caught a Bader Haji's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jawad Al Motar helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Eyad Al Ansari made the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Nemir Kakoli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maitham Al Barrak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Shaker Taqi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shabeb Al Dekhel kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Maitham Al Barrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darweesh Al Saleh, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eyad Al Ansari in the 75th minute of play forced Bader Haji's goalkeeper Maitham Al Barrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes Dunton Bassett got a freekick which was hit by Hamdan Dashti. Wael Abol struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Maitham Al Barrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunton Bassett. Wael Abol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eyad Al Ansari in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maitham Al Barrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Malik Al Jalahma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gibrel Abol having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Wael Abol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wael Abol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eyad Al Ansari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maitham Al Barrak having to interfere. Dunton Bassett were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bader Haji for a fine match.
