Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hamzah Al Motar made the kick off which started today's match. Khalaf Al Bloshi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morjan Al Fadhalah, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Hamzah Al Motar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Al Yarmouk Kuwait booed when Shabab Alahli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Msaed Al Rodhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shabab Alahli's Khalaf Al Bloshi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morjan Al Fadhalah in the 13th minute of play. Faris Al Besher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Bram Kiewit made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faris Al Besher got free with Bram Kiewit in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bram Kiewit was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Al Yarmouk Kuwait's zone, Faris Al Besher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bram Kiewit came out of the goal and Faris Al Besher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Sajid Al Hashash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Bram Kiewit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Al Yarmouk Kuwait from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the match, Al Yarmouk Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar came free, but Bram Kiewit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Morjan Al Fadhalah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Al Yarmouk Kuwait's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morjan Al Fadhalah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Bram Kiewit managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Shabab Alahli's Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mahmoud Al Bloshi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sajid Al Hashash could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Bram Kiewit made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Faris Al Besher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sajid Al Hashash kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar to make the kick off. Bram Kiewit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Hamzah Al Motar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Khalaf Al Bloshi. Khalaf Al Bloshi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Khaled Al Besher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Khalaf Al Bloshi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Khaled Al Besher might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Khalaf Al Bloshi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Khaled Al Besher ran back to his position shaking his head. Hamzah Al Motar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalaf Al Bloshi having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Khaled Al Besher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Khalaf Al Bloshi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Morjan Al Fadhalah struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Khalaf Al Bloshi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al Yarmouk Kuwait. If Morjan Al Fadhalah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bram Kiewit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Morjan Al Fadhalah got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Morjan Al Fadhalah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Al Yarmouk Kuwait defense, Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bram Kiewit. The Al Yarmouk Kuwait fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bram Kiewit should have stopped the shot. Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Bram Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdul Mohsen Al Bahar in the 89th minute of play. Khaled Al Besher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
