The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tony Githinji Kevoo got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Tony Githinji Kevoo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dennis Mumba. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Charles Obala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryde City's Tony Githinji Kevoo got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When John Masai came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Wakadinali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Masai couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Njenga in the 15th minute of play forced Ryde City's goalkeeper Kipchoge Atieno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If John Masai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Duncan Njenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kipchoge Atieno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Kagai Muhoho kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Wakadinali's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bobby Khadudu in the 22nd minute. Wakadinali's Bobby Khadudu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kipchoge Atieno in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 24 played minutes Ryde City got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Kanana. After 27 minutes, Mwangi Oduor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ryde City and the Wakadinali players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wakadinali booed when Ryde City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mwangi Oduor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Bobby Khadudu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ryde City's Kipchoge Atieno didn't even have to move. Kipchoge Atieno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duncan Njenga went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 37 played minutes Ryde City got a freekick which was hit by Francis Leakey. After a defensive mix-up in Ryde City's zone, John Masai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kipchoge Atieno came out of the goal and John Masai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ryde City's Kipchoge Atieno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Njenga in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Wakadinali getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. George Wanjiru hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wakadinali's zone, Charles Obala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Mumba came out of the goal and Charles Obala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Ntalami during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Wakadinali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Ntalami to maneuver through the defense.

Bobby Khadudu lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 61st minute, one of Wakadinali:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wakadinali. The referee gave Ryde City a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by George Akinyi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wakadinali's Dennis Mumba. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Kemboi during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robert Kemboi kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Tony Githinji Kevoo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Dennis Mumba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kipchoge Atieno was a little too slow when Ismael Ntalami got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Duncan Njenga charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duncan Njenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Wakadinali's Duncan Njenga got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Francis Leakey fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ryde City's protests and gave Francis Leakey a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Wakadinali booed when Ryde City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francis Leakey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If John Masai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Masai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kipchoge Atieno having to interfere. When John Masai came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Wakadinali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Masai couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes in the game, John Masai fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kipchoge Atieno having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Wakadinali's zone, Tony Githinji Kevoo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Mumba came out of the goal and Tony Githinji Kevoo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 101 minutes, Joe Wamalwa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wakadinali and the Ryde City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 101 played minutes Wakadinali got a freekick which was hit by Joe Wamalwa. Ryde City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
