In the 28th minute, Ratemo Osyanju fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joseph Rop, passed just outside the right post. The nice shot from Philip Kimely Osyanju in the 30thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Joseph Rop had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Joseph Rop was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ratemo Osyanju showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ratemo Osyanju made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Faversham's zone, Njeri Njoroge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mwai Emilio Bommet came out of the goal and Njeri Njoroge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Faversham's Silvano Sarun got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Wangari Shikanda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saltash City's supporters rose to their feet, but Wangari Shikanda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mwai Emilio Bommet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Philip Kimely Osyanju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Rop having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ratemo Osyanju in the 68th minute of play forced Saltash City's goalkeeper Joseph Rop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Kimely Osyanju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Njeri Njoroge's late challenge caught a Faversham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
