Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ratemo Osyanju took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Faversham were awarded a corner. Tony Waruinge went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 11th minute, Felix Popârcea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mwai Emilio Bommet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bobby Nduro took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mwai Emilio Bommet. Mwai Emilio Bommet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 19th minute, Adah Matu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Billy Waheto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sofapaka Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billy Waheto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Faversham's Philip Kimely Osyanju got a free kick in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Kimely Osyanju got free with Henry Murunga in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Popârcea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mwai Emilio Bommet having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Billy Waheto made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Faversham's Mwai Emilio Bommet tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Felix Popârcea sped through Faversham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mwai Emilio Bommet. Mwai Emilio Bommet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Billy Waheto's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Billy Waheto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mwai Emilio Bommet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Popârcea went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Billy Waheto was the one to do the kick off. If Felix Popârcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Faversham's Silvano Sarun got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Henry Murunga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ratemo Osyanju, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes Sofapaka Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Chuma Khayeshe. Tony Waruinge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mwai Emilio Bommet made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Felix Popârcea sent off a good shot on target. Faversham's Mwai Emilio Bommet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Faversham from getting a goal against them. Philip Kimely Osyanju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Murunga having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Faversham's zone, Philip Ntalami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mwai Emilio Bommet came out of the goal and Philip Ntalami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute Philip Kimely Osyanju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Murunga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes, Philip Ntalami made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Faversham's Mwai Emilio Bommet tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sofapaka Football Club played a much better game than Faversham and deserved their victory. The Faversham players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
