Axbridge's Gideon Onsare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Ngugi in the 6th minute of play. Christopher Chepkemei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joseph Rop read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Stephen Saleh Nabhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Christopher Chepkemei dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joseph Rop, 1-0. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saltash City's goalkeeper Joseph Rop, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Saltash City's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Chepkemei came free, but Joseph Rop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Saltash City got a freekick which was hit by Njeri Njoroge. In the 31st minute, Myles Temu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Chepkemei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stephen Saleh Nabhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Gideon Onsare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when George Ngugi made the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the game, Kenneth Gathoni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saltash City the free kick. George Ngugi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Musa Limo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Gideon Onsare didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wangari Shikanda went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the game, Stephen Saleh Nabhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saltash City the free kick. After 73 played minutes Axbridge got a freekick which was hit by Stephen Saleh Nabhan. Joseph Rop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Saleh Nabhan in the 75th minute of play. Joseph Rop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Saleh Nabhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Joseph Rop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Saleh Nabhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Stephen Saleh Nabhan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Rop. Saltash City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stephen Saleh Nabhan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 89th minute, Stephen Saleh Nabhan made a precise shot to the right of Joseph Rop. Saltash City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When Tom Leakey fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Axbridge's protests and gave Tom Leakey a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Axbridge got a freekick which was hit by Tom Leakey. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saltash City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Axbridge.
