Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when John Bilali took the kick off in the first half of the match. Philip Kimely Osyanju might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samson Kobia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Kimely Osyanju ran back to his position shaking his head. Samson Kobia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ratemo Osyanju in the 4th minute of play. John Lagat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mwai Emilio Bommet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Kiplagat charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Kiplagat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Ratemo Osyanju's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samson Kobia was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Ratemo Osyanju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Samson Kobia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Henry Kiprop Kirui. Samson Kobia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Kimely Osyanju, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Faversham's Mwai Emilio Bommet got control of the ball when John Lagat tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Faversham's Adah Matu got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Samson Kobia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Kimely Osyanju in the 31st minute of the match. Samson Kobia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ratemo Osyanju in the 32nd minute of play. If Ratemo Osyanju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Liverpool's John Bilali ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mwai Emilio Bommet. Mwai Emilio Bommet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
53 minutes into the game, John Lagat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mwai Emilio Bommet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John Lagat struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Mwai Emilio Bommet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool. In the 67th match minute, Faversham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Shikwati to maneuver through the defense. Mwai Emilio Bommet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Lagat's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Liverpool's John Lagat got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Bilali struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Mwai Emilio Bommet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool. When Christopher Waheto fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool's protests and gave Christopher Waheto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Christopher Waheto hit a great ball. A collision led to Faversham getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ratemo Osyanju hit a great ball. A collision led to Faversham getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dennis Rono hit a great ball. Samson Kobia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philip Kimely Osyanju in the 87th minute. Philip Kimely Osyanju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mwai Emilio Bommet came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool's John Lagat. But to his dismay, John Lagat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Liverpool's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
