Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Crewe United's Cyrus Musyoka got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Philip Kimely Osyanju got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ismael Kanana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crewe United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Kanana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mwai Emilio Bommet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Githinji Akoth made a precise shot to the right of Mwai Emilio Bommet. Faversham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ratemo Osyanju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kevin Ogot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Lagat kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Kevin Ogot went to the wrong direction when Tony Waruinge was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Kevin Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ratemo Osyanju, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Philip Kimely Osyanju took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Ogot. Kevin Ogot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Githinji Akoth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Githinji Akoth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ratemo Osyanju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Crewe United's Dedan Wangila couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Faversham. Philip Kimely Osyanju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Faversham's Ratemo Osyanju, in the 70th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Faversham. Ismael Kanana's late challenge caught a Faversham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Kanana helped the player get up and apologised. Ismael Kanana hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Philip Kimely Osyanju's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevin Ogot was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 84 minutes, Richard Cheboiboch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crewe United and the Faversham players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Githinji Akoth came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Crewe United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Githinji Akoth couldn't finish the play. Githinji Akoth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
